Heather Warwick has been leading Enterprise North Canterbury since September 2003. She is responsible for supporting her high performing team and contributing to the economic wellbeing of North Canterbury community.
Heather has 20 years experience specialising in economic development, has gained her Graduate Diploma in Economic Development at AUT and is also a graduate of the Institute of Directors, Company Director Course.
Heather has a high level of business knowledge and experience from having owned seven businesses over 25 years including wholesale and retail franchise businesses.

Business Support Manager
Miles is an economic development warrior, a social development champion and a helpful geek. Assisting people to achieve their dreams is what drives him and he is good at it. Working with both massive catalyst projects that will transform communities and tiny fledgling businesses, Miles enjoys the challenge of making sure that projects launch and achieve success.
He has helped to launch hundreds of businesses, social enterprises and not-for-profits over the years and is well known in the Canterbury community for his depth of knowledge. His past careers as a zookeeper, professional actor, plumber, community funder, business analyst, policy advisor and bureaucrat means he can turn his hand to most anything.

Business Growth Advisor
With experience spanning business ownership, sales, operations, finance, technology and industry development, Jake brings a broad commercial perspective to his role as Business Growth Advisor. He enjoys working with business owners to understand what is holding them back, identify opportunities for growth and connect them with the right expertise, resources and support.
Before joining Enterprise North Canterbury, Jake spent around 15 years in Central Otago’s wine and tourism industries, including running his own business and working in senior management, sales and industry development roles. His varied background has given him a practical understanding of the challenges small businesses face, along with a strong interest in systems, strategy, customer experience and finding better ways of doing things.
Originally from Canterbury, Jake is pleased to be back in the region. Outside work, he enjoys good coffee and wine, cooking, running, playing guitar and getting into the outdoors.

Senior Marketing Specialist
Kelly joined Enterprise North Canterbury in 2023 and has over 16 years of experience in graphic design and marketing. Holding a Bachelor of Design, she leads the MADE NORTH CANTERBURY initiative and manages marketing for both MADE NORTH CANTERBURY and ENC.
Kelly’s transferable skillset allows her to shift seamlessly between creative and strategic roles, effectively promoting the region and its businesses. Her role includes overseeing websites, social media, marketing, running The North Course, The Pie Trail and creating eye-catching visuals to support ENC’s brands.
When she’s not working, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family at their bach in Motunau, playing netball, traveling, and catching up on all the latest movies.

Chelsea started with us in May 2026 and brings a strong background in social media marketing and tourism. She loves creating engaging content, supporting local businesses, and showcasing everything Waimakariri has to offer.
She has experience working on her own small business ventures, giving her a practical, hands-on understanding of digital marketing and what it takes to grow an engaged audience.
When she’s not at work, Chelsea is a busy mum to her two young kids. She enjoys boxing, op-shopping, brunch dates, and making the most of the beautiful local beaches with her whānau.
