Heather Warwick has been leading Enterprise North Canterbury since September 2003. She is responsible for supporting her high performing team and contributing to the economic wellbeing of North Canterbury community.
Heather has 20 years experience specialising in economic development, has gained her Graduate Diploma in Economic Development at AUT and is also a graduate of the Institute of Directors, Company Director Course.
Heather has a high level of business knowledge and experience from having owned seven businesses over 25 years including wholesale and retail franchise businesses.

Business Support Manager
Miles leads Enterprise North Canterbury’s business support systems, business attraction activity, and major business events. His role focuses on creating the platforms, connections, and opportunities that help businesses across North Canterbury start, grow, invest, and thrive. From supporting new business owners and investors to managing key initiatives such as the North Canterbury Business Awards and Business Summit, he works across a broad range of programmes that strengthen the district’s business ecosystem.
Miles is married to Catherine and they have three teenage children. In his spare time Miles works with not-for-profit organisations across New Zealand, including being on the board of our local food rescue charity, Satisfy Food Rescue. He also enjoys the general geekery of computer games, movies and TTRPGs. He runs around Pegasus Lake every morning, but despite having been running for almost a year he still hates it.

Business Growth Advisor
Jake leads Enterprise North Canterbury’s direct business growth support services, working alongside business owners to understand their challenges, identify opportunities, and connect them with the expertise, resources, and funding they need to grow. Through one-on-one business engagement, capability assessments, Regional Business Partner funding, training initiatives, and networking programmes, Jake helps businesses build stronger foundations and realise their potential.
Originally from Canterbury, Jake is pleased to be back in the region. Outside work, he enjoys good coffee and wine, cooking, running, playing guitar and getting into the outdoors.

Senior Marketing Specialist
Kelly joined Enterprise North Canterbury in 2023 and has over 16 years of experience in graphic design and marketing. Holding a Bachelor of Design, she leads the MADE NORTH CANTERBURY initiative and manages marketing for both MADE NORTH CANTERBURY and ENC.
Kelly’s transferable skillset allows her to shift seamlessly between creative and strategic roles, effectively promoting the region and its businesses. Her role includes overseeing websites, social media, marketing, running The North Course, The Pie Trail and creating eye-catching visuals to support ENC’s brands.
When she’s not working, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family at their bach in Motunau, playing netball, travelling, and catching up on all the latest movies.
