Management Capability Development Fund
As a Regional Business Partner, ENC offers services that are registered with the Management Capability Development Fund. Small businesses may qualify for subsidies through this fund to help pay for services such as training workshops, courses and coaching that build the management capabilities of their owners, operators and key managers.

Key Information for Businesses
As a business owner or senior manager you should initially contact Enterprise North Canterbury’s Business Support, and they will arrange to meet with you. We will assess your business needs and recommend a range of resources, coaching or training to assist you. The results of the assessment will highlight the strengths you have in your business and enable any potential weaknesses to be identified. This service is free to businesses in North Canterbury.
ENC will be able to allocate Management Capability Development funding which can be used to subsidise services with specified accredited training providers or business coaches in Canterbury or nationwide for training and coaching in areas such as:
Each allocation is worth a maximum of 50% of the cost of a training course and each business is entitled to a maximum of $5000 (ex GST) to be spent on the identified training needs of management within the business per year. Eligibility for funding depends on a number of factors and in most cases your will not be eligible for the full $5,000.
Accredited training providers are business coaches and training services in New Zealand who have had their services approved by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment for RBP funding.
