Entries Now Open for the 2025 North Canterbury Business Awards

All businesses and social enterprises based in Waimakariri, Hurunui and Kaikōura are encouraged to enter the 2025 North Canterbury Business Awards.

The awards, held every two years, are organised by Enterprise North Canterbury (ENC) and celebrate the diverse range of well-run, innovative and resilient businesses that call North Canterbury home.

Awards organiser Guy Graham of ENC says entries are welcome from all local businesses regardless of industry, age or size.

“We are inviting businesses and social enterprises across the board to consider entering this year’s awards. It doesn’t matter if you’re small or large, new or well-established – all entries will be judged equally by our expert judging panel.”

The 2025 North Canterbury Business Awards categories are:

• SRB Law Professional Services Award
• ENC Trades and Services Award
• Percival Street Bakery Customer Service Award
• PAK’nSAVE Community Enterprise Award
• Harris Farms and Patoa Farms Primary and Value Add Award
• Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools and Spa Tourism Award
• Hellers Emerging Business Award
• Misco Joinery Technology Award
• MainPower Sustainability Award

One of these category winners will also be crowned the Supreme Award Winner at the Gala Evening in November. All entrants will also have the opportunity to compete in the North Canterbury News People’s Choice Award, voted by the North Canterbury community.

The entry process comprises an application form that must be completed by 15th August, 2025. Eligible entrants will then meet with the judging panel for their category before winners and runners-up are announced at the Awards Gala on 21st November.
